There are many benefits to losing weight. Losing weight strengthens the heart and helps to lower blood cholesterol levels, thereby lowering the risk of heart disease. Weight loss improves moods, and exercise raise the endorphins which also improves moods. Below are 10 tips that I’ve found work well to jump-start your weight loss. I’ve managed to lose over 70 pounds so far.


Drink Water

Drinking the proper amount of water each day will help to jump-start your weight loss like nothing else. Our bodies require a good amount of water to work at their full potential. To determine how much water you require you first need to know your weight. Take your weight and multiply it by .67. This will tell you the amount of water in ounces that you need each and every day. If you are exercising a lot and sweating more add another 12 ounces to that total for every 30 minutes of intense exercise.
Example: a 150-pound person requires 100 ounces of water daily.

Regardless of your current health or activity level, it is important to start incorporating exercise into your daily routine. If you are a newbie, start slow and just keep going. Add a bit more as you improve. The exercise might be something as small as a walk around the block, or a two-hour strength and aerobic session. Whatever your level, start building up a bit more. The American Heart Association recommends that you exercise at least 30 minutes a day, five days a week.
