Jasmine oil has a romantic and pleasing flowery aroma.  There are many health benefits associated with Jasmine oil, such as its ability to act as an aphrodisiac, antidepressant, and emmenagogue. The essential oil is achieved by traditional enfleurage of the flowers. A solvent extraction from the flowers creates an absolute.

What is Jasmine Essential Oil?

Jasmine oil is the oil extracted from the very fragrant Jasmine flower. This special flower blooms only during the night on a climbing vine. The vine has oval, shiny leaves and the actual Jasmine flower is a tubular, white flower. Most varieties of Jasmine oil are extracted from the Jasminum Officinale or Common Jasmine. It can be sourced from India, Egypt, Turkey, China, France, North Africa or Japan.

Jasmine Oil blends well with many other essential oils when using a good carrier oil. A carrier oil, such as fractionated coconut oil, stretches the oil and makes it easier to use properly.  Nice blends can be created for muscle relief, stress management, and more. A few of the oils that Jasmine works well with include:

I’ve been enjoying adding 2-3 drops of Jasmine Oil into my new diffuser to help relieve my stress and tension. Yes, this house flipping mom does get stressed often……imagine that. This also helps with deepening breathing and calming the bronchi (I’m so sick of colds). About 30 minutes to an hour and I feel calmer and ready to settle down. I’ve been using First Botany Cosmeceuticals Jasmine Essential Oil. The oil is absolutely wonderful and oh, so fragrant.
